A civil wedding is a legal, non-religious wedding. In some provinces civil weddings are performed by a Justice of the Peace. In Alberta, we have Marriage Commissioners.

In order to be married in a civil ceremony, you must have a Marriage Licence from a Registry Office, a Marriage Commissioner and two witnesses who meet certain requirements. Apart from that, you can be married wherever and whenever you choose. Your wedding can be large and elaborate or small and intimate.

Sometimes the legal processes can seem a bit complicated, but Robert can and will work with you to make this milestone event in your lives as enjoyable as possible.
